Attend a green event of Wales

There are some spectacular but weird outdoor activities in the small city of Llanwrtyd Wells, located in the heart of the country. The Green Events was born in the late 1970s, when a group of local business people tried to bring tourists to the town. In 1979 the Tourist Association of Llanwrtyd Wells was created. Its main objective was to organize a new event each year. Green Events include the following: Bog Snorkelling, the Roman Festival of Saturnalia, Red Kite Mountain Bike Bash, the Winter Warmer Beer Festival, the Real Ale Wobble or Ramble, Man versus Horse Marathon and so on. These are fantastic entertainment possibilities for the whole family.

Coasteering

If you haven’t heard about this outdoor activity, I will explain what it means. The adventurous coasteering is practically working your way round a coastline at sea level. It may involve swimming, diving, jumping, climbing, scrambling and rock hopping, all designed to be challenging and enjoyable at the same time. The best sites for coasteering in Wales are the following: Isle of Anglesey, Llyn Peninsula, Pembrokeshire Coast and Gower Peninsula.
